Our Vision The vision of The Armor of Light Christian Worship Center is to establish an environment that will nurture spiritual growth, identify and develop the believers gifts, talents, purpose and place in the body of Christ, according to Ephesians 4:11-13, “And His gifts were [varied; He Himself appointed and gave men to us] some to be apostles (special messengers), some prophets (inspired preachers and expounders) some evangelists (preachers of the Gospel, traveling missionaries), some pastors (shepherds of His flock) and teachers. His intention was the perfecting and full equipping of the saints (His consecrated people), [that they should do] the work of ministering toward building up Christ’s body (the church), [that it might develop] until we all attain oneness in the faith and in the comprehension of the [full and accurate] knowledge of the Son of God, that [we might arrive] at really mature manhood (the completeness of personality which is nothing less than the standard height of Christ’s own perfection), the measure of the stature of the fullness of the Christ and the completeness found in Him.” (Amplified Bible) We envision creating a multicultural atmosphere where any person who is willing to submit to the Holy Spirit and to the authority of the scriptures can be perfected, reaching a place of maturity for the work of the ministry. Our focus is to bring the whole person by the leading of the Holy Spirit into harmony with the authority and power of God’s word. I Peter 5:10, “And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace [Who imparts all blessing and favor]. Who has called you to His [own] eternal glory in Christ Jesus, will securely strengthen, and settle you” creating an environment where God’s people bear fruit, identifying and teaching the faithful who are able to teach others also.” II Timothy 2:2 “And the [instructions] which you have heard from me along with many witnesses, transmit and entrust [as a deposit] to reliable and faithful men who will be competent and qualified to teach others also.” (Amplified Bible) |
